Ginger & Smart
Ginger and Smart debuted their Resort 17 collection with a bang. This was my first show for the day and it left me on that fashion high. Whimsical fabrics, sheer panelling and a mixture of pastels and earth tones with a cheeky play of metallics. Least we forget the hat, wow.
A beautiful collection that stayed true to the brand, a great play of strong cuts, sharp lines and a dash of sweetness. Introuducing more colours into her normal palette, Yeojin is still the master of creating the stunning must have cocktail dress for all occasions.
The crowds certainly were out in force to capture international model / celebrity, Bella Hadid open and close for Misha Collection. All I’m going to say is that girl can walk! The collection was strong on the monochrome front, which Misha does so well, however introducing more golds in celebration of her gold collection.
The Aje show featured those signature pieces we all know and love with a mix of denim and embellished tops, victorian inspired shirts and clean lines. I loved the pairing of such feminine pieces with such a heavy “workman” boot.
Always a a hot ticket show with even hotter designs. Dion Lee has long been a standout within the Australian Fashion industry and this show didn’t disappoint. Held at the bloomberg building, guests oozed over his intricate detail and expert craftsmanship in fluid silks, sexy hemlines and folding details.
